In 2007 Garrett turned his attention to the commissioning of buildings and building systems. Mr. Brown is registered as an engineer in the state of Texas and currently manages the Commissioning department at Summit.

He has experience in a wide variety of projects, including data centers, industrial facilities, mission critical facilities, hospitals/healthcare, higher education, central plants, LEED, commercial and high-rise buildings, churches, schools and other project types. His expertise includes areas such as healthcare, lighting design, medium voltage distribution, energy efficiency, mission critical and other areas. Mr. Ruse particularly enjoys larger, more complex projects, as well as the opportunity to use new technologies and exacting design techniques in order to reduce a building’s energy consumption while exceeding the owner’s requirements.

John Sanborn
